I have had a love and a passion for dogs since childhood. Walking my dog regardless of the weather, has always been a pleasure and provided balance away from the work place. After almost 25 years as a secondary teacher, I have decided to swap the classroom for the open air.

As a young teenager, I trained our rescue terrier cross, Monty, and after marrying, I clicker trained our black Labrador, Jemima, who responded brilliantly – positive reinforcement (clicker, treat, praise) is the only way I encourage a dog to behave well! I have recently added to my experience of managing Monty’s epilepsy and heart murmur and Jemima’s senior arthritis by completing a Canine First Responder Course and have also been granted a Dudley MBC Dog Home Boarding Licence.

My husband and two sons, who have all grown up with and have a real love for dogs, are always delighted when Lola (our niece's dog) and a family hearing dog come to visit. I have been an avid Dogs Trust supporter and dog sponsor for many years and my youngest son, who can often be found reading about the many residents on the website, has joined me!

So whether it is a walk, a short, medium or long term stay, you can feel reassured that your canine companion is in safe, caring hands.
